good sex? regret free sex – is it truly possible? yes, yes it is. God thought of it. He created it. so it’s not bad, it’s all good. it all starts with the trinity, creation, and the value that God has placed on each individual human being. our culture wants to compartmentalize sex so that it is only a physical, animalistic act between “2 consenting adults” who are answering their physical urges. when we buy into that, we begin to devalue what it means to be human (image bearers of God). you are more than just your sexuality. you bare the image of your Creator and you breathe His breath. Song of Songs is a beautiful book of poems that show us that sexuality in the proper context is a powerful and beautiful part of life. it is part of what makes us human beings. God does want you to have good, regret free sex. how is that possible? He tells us through his scriptures.
this series started with what could only be called a “God tangent” when nate was teaching the final sermon of our txt series. as we wrapped up txt, there was a moment where the Holy Spirit seemed to just steer us to sex and relationships. the response to the statements made that sunday were overwhelming, so we began the discussion about moving into a series on sex. Our entire year is focused on trusting God, and this new series “intimacy is not a dirty word,” falls right in line with where God is leading us. Join us as we journey together through the Song of Songs, seeking a biblical understanding of sex and relationships as God intended them to be.
